Laboratories at ICAR-IISS, Mau

Molecular Biology Lab

Laboratory facilities for Seed physiology, Seed science & technology, Seed Molecular Biology, Tissue culture & micro propagation, Seed Pathology and Seed Entomology have been developed. IISS laboratories are equipped with the following equipment: Seed Pelleting & Coating Machine, Seed Germinator, Ageing chambers, Desiccators, Seed Counter, BOD incubator, Refrigerated centrifuge, UV-Trans-illuminator, Liquid nitrogen containers, Compound microscopes, Laminar Air Flow, Tissue Culture facilities, Microarray, Automated single column AFLP fragment analyzer cum gene sequencer, Real-time PCR, PCR machines, Gel documentation system, Vacuum blotters, UV crosslinkers, vertical and horizontal gel electrophoresis system, UV spectrophotometer, ELISA Reader, Deep Freezer (-80 and -20ºC), Water Purification System, Water Distillation Units, Autoclave etc.
