Agricultural Knowledge Management Unit (AKMU)
Agricultural Knowledge Management Unit (AKMU) previously Agricultural Research Information System (ARIS) was established during 2004 in the Directorate. At present AKMU cell has 10 mbps broadband connection from BSNL and 100 mbps high speed internet service under National Knowledge Network (NKN) from NIC, New Delhi for internet connectivity to all the scientist/officers/student/staff and also providing Wi-Fi connectivity to all the staff of the institute. It has been instrumental in establishment and management of Local Area Network (LAN) connecting about 45-50 nodes for providing internet, browsing CeRA, HYPM, Permisnet II, IISS agropedia and e-mail connectivity to all the users. AKMU is providing network services, database service, hardware and software trouble shooting and maintenance; scientific data processing etc. The Institute website (www.seedres.in) has been designed and face lifted with newest scripting, coding and flash animation compatible for most of browser. The maintenance and content updating of institute website are also being done regularly. | |
